I don't think that you really need pencil and paper anymore. Even if you like to use the whiteboard. It's not much effort to have a notebook and a beamer to do the same in a discussion.

Some more thoughts:

Eric, thanks so much for the in-depth review.

A few points:

* arbitrary lines: could you give me a little more details on what you mean? I have "add arrows" on my TODO list.
* shapes: Balsamiq does have a rectangle shape. Maybe I should add a circle/ellipse control? What else?
* Storyboarding: highly requested feature, and I will build it in the next few months. The reason I haven't built it yet is because it's hard to make it drop-dead simple. I have a few ideas, one of which is to make the storyboarding feature a different, small and simple application, just as you suggest
* paper prototyping: I love sketching on paper and totally understand its value. One thing that Mockups could be used for is to quickly create the many screens and parts of your paper prototype and...print them out! (what a concept). I don't have a native print function yet, but that's on the TODO list also. For now you could export as PNGs and print those.

Once again thanks for the review, it gives me the motivation to keep making Mockups a better tool!
